Pantone Colour of The Year captures the mood

2024 is the year when trust returns to the frontline.

After a period of uncertainty, Australian families and businesses are all craving stability.

And while most are feeling settled about 2024, a slow return to work in January suggested that the nation’s workforce is done with the fast-paced lifestyle. That’s not to say that good work should not be completed in good time, of course.

“Complete Colour is always reliable and speedy with high quality printing, says Cassidy Higgins, Events Coordinator at St. Kilda Football Club.

“The team is so easy to work with and always provides great customer service... always responsive, reliable and get our printing done by the time we need it (even if it is a rush job).”

Service, quality, value and trust have forever been key pillars for Complete Colour. People are looking inwards to the most important things – deeper connection with people and businesses we trust.

Less is more in 2024. We’re encouraging our clients to focus on collaborative planning for maximum impact, keeping costs and environmental impact at a minimum – staying proactive, not reactive.

“We continue to reduce our impact, rather than just pay for carbon credits,” says Complete Colour Director Geoff Lawyer.

“This whole business has been built on a mission to deliver high quality products and services to our customers, in a timely manner, through the integration of environmentally and socially responsible processes.”

As an employer of more than 25 staff, across 30 years, we are extremely proud to consider ourselves a national industry captain, leading at the forefront of environmentally and socially responsible print technology.

We build and sustain trust through communication, partnership and passion. From brief to finished product we collaborate with our clients, listening, asking questions, making suggestions and listening some more.

"I have just had a chance to check this edition of the magazine, and I'm really pleased with how it is looking,” says Scott Reddiex, Director of Engagement at The Royal Society and Editor of Science Victoria.

“To change printers from one edition to the next can be fraught with risk, but it's come out beautifully, and I'm very grateful. I look forward to a great relationship going forward."

Since opening Complete Colour’s doors in 1992, we’ve created and evolved systems to drive performance. We’re forever proactively seeking opportunities to automate and improve our supply and production chains – without devaluing end products or stakeholder experiences.

Our valued suppliers are partners with whom we’ve enjoyed long, trusting relationships; and we look forward to strengthening these relationships along the journey. Innovation is the only pathway to growth in a challenging market.

The Pantone Colour of the Year – Peach Fuzz – beautifully encapsulates where we feel people are, and what people are craving in 2024.

What is the Pantone Colour of the Year?

Pantone is the global colour authority and provider of professional colour language standards used across a variety of industries – including printing.

In most instances at Complete Colour, we print in four-colour process and add Pantone PMS (Pantone Matching System) colours when a client’s brief requires the exact accuracy of a PMS colour. We do this because exact accuracy is not always achievable in four-colour process.

Since 2000, the Pantone Color Institute has declared a ‘Colour of the Year’ every year, with fashion designers, florists, and other consumer-oriented companies using it to help guide their designs and planning for future products.

According to Pantone, the 2024 Pantone Colour of the Year “PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It's a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul.”

“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance,” says Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute™.

“A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”
